Revolution Returns March 25
The revolution is about to begin!

On Monday, March 25 (10/9c), Revolution returns after a four-month hiatus — and though it's been quite a while since the show has been on the air, the NBC series will pick up exactly where we left off, with Miles (Billy Burke) & Co. on the run from Monroe (David Lyons) and his fleet of newly powered helicopters. But will they be able to make a daring escape? In short, duh! The show can't end like that! But what's in store for the survivors? The cast and executive producers teased what's coming up at Saturday's PaleyFest panel, moderated by TV Guide Magazine's Michael Schneider. Get the scoop below:

1. The Blackout, revealed: "We reveal why the power went out and we do it early," executive producer Eric Kripke said, noting that it will open the door to a bigger mystery. "It will be fun to see the audience's reaction to it." Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) actually knows the real reason, so, "there's no reason she wouldn't say it."

2. The world expands: As Monroe's power grows, so too will the world of Revolution as the group may need to rely on other territories in the fight against Monroe. "This revolution against Monroe really begins," Kripke says. "[They] all join together to take on this evil tyrant." But executive producer Jon Favreau noted that loyalties with these other federations may change as power shifts hands. Among the new faces is Leslie Hope's President Foster, the leader of the Georgia Federation. "She's badass," Kripke said. "She's really steely and strong and has her own management style that is quite different than Monroe's."

3. Charlie's not a kid anymore: Even though Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) has been reunited with her mother Rachel and brother Danny (Graham Rogers), she will continue to fight for the rebellion, which will put her at odds with herself. "Is she able to keep her humanity through it all?" Spiridakos said. She may find help in that department in Jason (J.D. Pardo), who Spiridakos noted will be around the rebels more in the second half of the season.

4. Miles may fall off the wagon: Miles will have to step up as a leader in the rebellion against the Monroe republic, but his past demons may hinder him. "Were the show to take place five years earlier, Miles would be the bad guy," Kripke said. "He's a former bad guy trying to be good. He can be a real son of a bitch in backstory, and he really flirts with some of that again."

5. Monroe goes off the hinges: With Miles deserting him once again, Monroe will set his sights on quashing the rebellion and making Miles pay for it in the process by putting out a kill order on his head. With no one to trust, Monroe may make some questionable decisions. "There's a void in him that cannot be filled with all the power in the world," Lyons says. "He's broken and the question is, can he be mended? I'm not sure."

6. Neville is the ultimate soldier: While Giancarlo Esposito insisted that his character isn't necessarily evil — he's just following orders to keep people in line — his devotion to Monroe will cause a rift with his son Jason. Jason will finally stand up for himself in an upcoming episode, as he tries to make his father realize that Monroe is just slaughtering the masses. Still, there could be hope for Neville. "I believe that Tom is a guy that we may see a sliver of hope for," Esposito says.

7. The past will resurface: Kripke teased that we'll discover more about Miles and Monroe's history and why they ultimately turned against each other. Speaking of Miles, we'll also learn more about his history with Rachel -- like why, in the opening moments of the return episode, Rachel shows the slightest hint of jealousy over his relationship with Nora (Daniella Alonso). Spoiler alert: Lyons also spilled that he has an upcoming scene with Nora.

8. A happy family? Now that Rachel has been reunited with her children, the dynamic of the group will certainly shift, which will be particularly difficult for Charlie. "There's a lot of resentment and anger there for her, especially when they get back together, Rachel has no answers for her," Spiradakos said. Still, it is her mother, so they will attempt to find common ground.

9. Will Aaron get his own redemption? Many viewers questioned Aaron's (Zak Orth) decision to abandon his wife, but Kripke said that that very question will be addressed in a upcoming episode in which Aaron will come face-to-face with his wife again. "They're able to work out their issues," Kripke said, noting that Aaron left her behind because he was a coward, but he's been able to find strength again.

10. The endgame: Even though the second half of the season will see the group on a quest to give everyone power in to even the playing field, Kripke said that the end of the series isn't necessarily about power being restored to all. "Maybe at the very, very end," he said, noting that seeing the consequences of it coming on in waves is far more interesting. "If it stays on forever, [Revolution] just becomes a very exciting single-camera sitcom."
